The One Board

The Situation

Bowlers Journal International needed a monthly column skewering the very industry it covered (of course, they didn’t actually need this, but they were receptive when I pitched it, probably because they’d been pleased with the many news and feature stories I’d been writing for them).

The Solution

The One Board was granted a page in the magazine every month for eight years and one month (here’s the story on the extra month), allowing me to irreverently revere the sport of bowling.

The Result

The One Board has won multiple awards and earned high praise from many readers, often citing the column as a nice departure from the tone of the rest of the magazine. The One Board now resides at internetbowlingpersonality.com.
